Panama announce roster for WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup

Panama revealed their 18-player roster for the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025 presented by RAXUS.

Captain and shortstop Maxwell Montilla, power arm Yassith Concepción, and standout utility player Fernando Martínez look like the players to watch.

PITCHERS (5) Yassith Concepción, Héctor González, Khaled Grajales, Alams Rodríguez and Kelvin Santos.
CATCHERS (3) Noah Campos, Orlando Richards and David Campos.
INFIELDERS (6) Joseph Cousins, Daniel González, Gabriel Ledezma, Ty Marshall, Maxwell Montilla and Aymar Ríos.
OUTFIELDERS (3) César Caballero, Ángel Góndola and Pedro Zapata.
UTILITY (1) Fernando Martínez.

The Panamanian team has conducted all its training at the new Mariano Rivera Academy, a modern, world-class baseball facility named after the New York Yankees legend and Hall of Famer, Mariano Rivera.

"We have a competitive team. Our strength will be pitching. We're going to give it our all on the field. We have our sights set on fighting for a spot in the Super Round, and from there, having the opportunity to go for medals," said manager José Murillo III.

The Chinese Taipei Baseball Association will host the VIII WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan from July 25 to August 3.

World No. 8 Panama will compete in Group B and face No. 5 USA, No. 6 Korea, No. 11 Dominican Republic, No. 15 Czechia and No. 31 South Africa.

Group A includes No. 1 Japan, No. 2 Chinese Taipei, No. 4 Mexico, No. 10 Cuba, No. 12 Australia and No. 17 Germany.
