In Mariners news...
- Hey, you guys wanna see something hilarious? Check this nonsense out.
Around the league...
- Seattle Mariners legend Rowdy Tellez has found a new home with the Texas Rangers.
- It appears that the New York Yankees will be calling up top prospect Cam Schlittler to make his MLB debut at some point during their upcoming series against the Mariners.
- Speaking of the Yankees, a miscue between Anthony Volpe and Aaron Judge between innings last night led to a ball striking Judge in the face, a move that certainly made Volpe more popular with Yankee fans.
- Chicago White Sox legend Bobby Jenks sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 44.
- The Mets are apparently showing early interest in the Pirates starter Mitch Keller, according to Noah Hiles at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. A handful of other Pirates were noted for the attention they’re getting from around the league, including Ke’Bryan Hayes, Bryan Reynolds, and David Bednar.
- The Atlanta Braves released outfielder Alex Verdugo yesterday, following the end of Juricskson Profar’s PED suspension.
- New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara was invited to throw the first pitch at Wrigley Field and did his best 50 Cent impression.
- Members of the Texas chapters of SABR got together earlier this week for their annual summer convention.
Nick’s pick...
- This must be the first ever Pokémon card to classified as a papal relic, right?
