7/1 Cup of Coffee: Boston's rookie-level affiliates went 1-2 on Monday. Jose Bello and Gerardo Rodriguez (pictured) played key roles in the FCL Red Sox' come-from-behind win over the FCL Braves. The two DSL squads, on the other hand, were held to just two runs on nine hits altogether.

Jesus Travieso went four innings in his latest start for the FCL Red Sox, allowing one earned run on three hits, four walks, and six strikeouts. Jose Bello pitched well in relief and earned his first organizational win, walking and striking out two over three scoreless, no-hit frames. Juan Henriquez worked his way around some traffic to put up a zero in the ninth for his first save of the season. Gerardo Rodriguez led the way offensively, going 2 for 4 with one double and one RBI. Anderson Fermin drove in two runs as part of a 1-for-4 day. Justin Barry scored two runs, drew one walk, and stole one base.

Dani Richar took the loss in his latest start for the Blue squad, allowing three earned runs on four hits, four walks, one hit by pitch, and two strikeouts over four innings. Yander Bonaci gave up four unearned runs out of the bullpen, while Wascar Berroa tossed a scoreless ninth inning. Offensively, Lester Suarez accounted for his side's lone hit by going 1 for 3 with a seventh-inning single. Josue Brito scored one run, drew three walks, and stole two bases.

Berny Ortiz was solid in his latest start for the Red squad, allowing just one unearned run on one hit, one walk, one hit by pitch, and three strikeouts over four innings. Eddison Septimo worked a scoreless fifth inning, while Breylin Cruz took the loss after giving up the winning run on a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh. On the flip side, Geomaikel Martinez paced his side's lineup by going 2 for 3 with one stolen base. Franklin Primera and Alexander Alzi both doubled for their only knocks of the day, with the former scoring on the latter's two-base hit in the top of the first. Jhorman Bravo singled, drew two walks, and swiped two bags.

Player of the Day: Jose Bello gets the nod for picking up his first win since coming over from San Francisco in the blockbuster Rafael Devers trade two-plus weeks ago. The 20-year-old righty has appeared in two games for the FCL Red Sox since then and has yet to allow a run through five innings of work. He is currently ranked as the organization's No. 45 prospect.
