LSU Baseball vs. UCLA in College World Series: Time, how to watch
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The LSU Tigers are set to play against the UCLA Bruins Monday evening in the College World Series.
The Tigers won 4-1 against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. Pitcher Kade Anderson struck out seven Razorbacks at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
Next, the No. 6 Tigers face the No. 15 Bruins at 6 p.m. Monday, June 16. According to LSU Athletics, LSU has a 3-2 lead in the all-time series versus UCLA, with the teams last facing each other in the opening round of the 2013 College World Series. UCLA had defeated the Tigers 2-1.
“UCLA is a great team and has been one of the most consistent teams in the country this year. With the schedule that we play, we’ve actually seen some teams like them along the way. They play a really good brand of baseball and have some of the best players in the country. They have a very strong identity on offense, a style of play that they’re committed to," Coach Jay Johnson said.
