Mariners 3, Guardians 2: Clase Blows Save In The 9th

This team is incredibly frustrating

The Guardians lost tonight on a rough blown save for Emmanuel Clase. He just has not been the same guy that we’ve seen the last few years. It wasn’t an easy outing for Tanner Bibee but he was able to limit the damage to just two runs in five innings.

The positive takeaways from this game are that José Ramírez is José Ramírez and Nolan Jones looks like he’s starting to figure things out at the plate. Oh and Cade Smith is incredible. Other than that is was a pretty tough game to watch. I feel like it is clearly time to make some additions to this roster. CJ Kayfus AND Chase DeLauter need to be in Cleveland ASAP, that will benefit the team both long term and short term.

The Guardians will try to avoid the sweep on Sunday at 4:10 pm ET. It will be Luis Ortiz vs Emerson Hancock. Happy Father’s Day!
