Guardians News and Notes: Everyone is Sad
News and Notes for Saturday, June 7th, 2025
The Guardians are getting beat by good teams and so everyone is sad.
Maybe people who insisted they weren't good and their run differential would catch up to them are happy, I don't know. The Guardians lost 4-2 to the Astros last night.
Tim Stebbins wrote about how David Fry could be a good solution for the number two spot in the lineup. He doesn't address how they are going to fit him in without taking out their fourth or fifth hitters, though, which is the problem.
Good news is that Chase DeLauter and CJ Kayfus are slumping in Columbus and George Valera is seemingly hurt again. On the non-sarcastic side of things, Erik Sabrowski threw a scoreless inning and struck out two in Akron. Also, supposedly, Lane Thomas should be back soon.
Ah well. I plan to do my best to not let the Guardians ruin my day today. Maybe it'll turn out they'll make it a good one instead.
AROUND MLB:
The Tigers won, and the Twins and Royals lost.
