WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour starts in Lombardy Region, Italy

The Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) launched the WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup Trophy Tour on May 31 in Garlasco and Rho.

The Trophy Tour will reach five cities in the Lombardy Region. FIBS intends to engage with as many baseball and softball clubs in the Region during the tour.

The Rescaldina Sports Festival will be the tour's next stop on Sunday, June 8.

The following weekend, Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, the World Cup trophy will be on display in Brescia during HOODIE 2K25, a multisport event which will include a batting tunnel.

The city of Legnano will have the trophy on display at the Council Room the whole day on Monday, June 16.

On Wednesday, June 18, the trophy will move to Caronno Pertusella. It will be on display during the local Palio, an event featuring races and celebrations that involve the people from different districts of the area.

The last stop of the tour will be in Saronno on Sunday, June 22. The day is dedicated to celebrating the first day of Summer, and the central Matteotti square will have a batting tunnel accessible for everybody.

WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup Schedule

The Lombardy Region will host the WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup 2025 in Caronno Pertusella and Legnano from June 27 to July 5.

The WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup is a 12-team event played under the standard WBSC World Cup format. It features a two-group Opening Round, where the top three finishers from each group advance to the Super Round to compete for a spot in the medal round. The teams placed fourth to sixth in each group will compete in the Placement Round. The World Championship Final on Saturday, July 5, will be game No. 50.

  • Group A: World No. 2 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 7 Italy, No. 9 Mexico, No. 13 Spain, No. 64 American Samoa.
  • Group B: No. 1 USA, No. 4 Chinese Taipei, No. 6 Canada, No. 8 Czechia, No. 10 Australia, No. 39 Singapore

The United States won the inaugural U-15 Women's Softball World Cup in 2023 in Tokyo.
