Kyle Daltres led the way for Columbus on Saturday, collecting three hits with a double.

Chase DeLauter also impressed, going 1-for-3 with a ground rule double and a walk. Petey Halpin and Brayan Rocchio also both went 1-for-3 with a walk. C.J. Kayfus doubled.

Starting pitcher Doug Nikhazy had his best game of the season, tossing 6.0 shutout innings with three strikeouts and three walks.

Andrew Walters dominated out of the bullpen, striking out five batters for all of his outs in his 1.2 innings. Nick Mikolajchak finished off the game's final out for the save.

Akron erupted for seven runs in the eighth inning to turn a close game into a laugher.

Every Akron player has at least one hit, with Kahlil Watson going 1-for-3 with two walks. Jake Fox went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and three runs scored.

Jorge Burgos doubled and walked while Joe Lampe blasted his second home run of the season.

Starting pitcher Austin Peterson was incredible, throwing 7.0 shutout innings with four strikeouts and no walks while giving up three hits. He has a 1.18 ERA on the season and is wasting his time in Double-A. He has nothing left to prove there. Time for a promotion.

Davis Sharpe finished off the shutout with 2.0 scoreless innings.
