Columbus had eight hits but couldn't strong any together as both of the Clippers' runs came on a pair of solo home runs from Milan Tolentino and Yordys Valdes.

Tolentino finished 2-for-3 with a walk while Valdes and Petey Halpin had two hits apiece. C.J. Kayfus also reached base twice, singling and walking.

Starting pitcher Will Dion allowed two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and three walks in 4.0 innings.

The bullpen struggled as Tanner Burns, Bradley Hanner and Andrew Misiaszek gave up an additional eight runs the rest of the way

Yaikel Mijares had a monster game, going perfect at the plate 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a pair of runs scored.

Ryan Cesarini also had a big game, blasting a home run and getting hit by a pitch.

Starting pitcher Braylon Doughty struggled, allowing a pair of runs on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 2.1 innings pitched.

The bullpen was dominant, however, as Conner Whittaker had 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to pick up his fourth win of the season.
