Rays Reacts: Will the Rays win Over/Under 78.5 games this season?

I have to say, when it comes to Over/Under wins for the Rays, I’m always assuming you’d take the over. After all, this is the franchise with the third highest win total in MLB dating back to 2008. Sure there are down years, but the Rays surprise even us year over year.

So when I saw the FanDuel win total in the Rays Reacts survey was less than eighty wins — all the way down at 78.5 — I assumed this poll would be a resounding OVER.

Not so fast!

One third of y’all don’t think the Rays can reach 79 wins? That’s the same Over/Under as the Cincinnati Reds! Now I’m not saying the Rays are destined for the playoffs with this roster, but I’d like to think .500 baseball is within reach.

Surely... right?
