Today isn’t a “real” game and the Padres aren’t our real dads, so let’s watch some baseball and have some fun. I just think there might not be any rules.

Today is the first evening game of spring training for the Mariners, and you just know the Dads are going to try and ground us to keep us from having any fun. Lucky for Seattle and their fans, the rebellion of youth is on the mound in sophomore pitcher Bryan Woo, with a healthy mix of vets and other rapscallions in the lineup to back him up.

Lineups:

Randy Arozarena leads off today’s lineup and Donovan Solano will finally shows us what he looks like in Northwest Green. Mastrubuoni will get today’s reps at the question mark that is second base, and Nick Raposo will start the catching duties.

After Bryan Woo, probable pitchers for Seattle include Trent Thornton, Gabe Speier, Tayler Saucedo, Collin Snider, Lao, and Garcia.

Manny Machado was initially penciled in for tonight’s lineup, but was a late scratch due to back tightness. Even so, much of the San Diego’s starting lineup today is made of the non-Machado expected starters, and so it will be a fitting opportunity for Woo to get into season form.
