Baseball: Cuba's Elite League to open on March 15
The Cuban Baseball Softball Federation (FCBS) and the National Baseball Commission announced that the third edition of the Elite League will open on March 15 at the Juluio Antonion Stadium in Las Tunas, home of the defending Serie Nacional champions.
The top six finishers of the 63rd Serie Nacional (Las Tunas, Pinar del Rio, Havana Industriales, Ciego de Avila, Granma and Santiago) will participate in the league, which includes a 40-game regular season in March and April and best-of-seven playoff series in May.
The rosters will include 32 players (27 eligible for the games), including ten additions from other teams. Six extra players will come from a draw managed by the National Commission, while the managers will pick the other four.
The 64th Serie Nacional will open in September and end in January 2026.
