Required Text: Principles of Computer System Design, Saltzer & Kaashoek (ISBN 0123749573) TA: TBD Students in this course will be introduced to the concerns facing thedesign and implementation of computer systems, including complexity,concurrency, and performance. Students will be introduced toprinciples to manage these issues, including modularity / abstraction,naming, and synchronization. They will be introduced to how theseprinciples govern the computer systems that are used today and how toapply these principles to new problems moving forward.
