morning News and notes for Nov 13
For the 5th time in his distinguished MLB career, José Ramirez has won a Silver Slugger. Having previously won in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2022, Ramirez adds 2024 to his list of accomplishments.
What did it take? 39 home runs, 39 doubles, a .872 OPS, 118 runs batted in. He also stole 41 bases. Not sure whether that gets taken into consideration here or not.
Regarding ballparks
Are you a contractor with experience fixing tall structures that are falling apart? You could make 56 million dollars by helping the Tampa Bay Rays fix their home.
But that doesn’t mean baseball will be played in Tropicana Field in 2025. 2026 seems to be the best-case scenario.
- Quicker topics
- The Angels signed Travis d’Arnaud to a 2-year contract . This is a bummer because Travis is a catcher, and Travis can hit the baseball. This would have made him useful to your baseball team, the Cleveland Guardians.
- Garrett Crochet is “almost certain” to be traded.
- LGFSTT Adam Oller signed with the Kia iTigers.
