Finish him them.

Well well well, would you look at this. It was all doom and gloom after the Royals dropped a home series to Philadelphia last weekend. Yet here we are on the precipice of a road mop of the formerly-division leading Cleveland Guardians. Imagine that!

Michael Wacha will start for Kansas City. Wacha’s numbers have been remarkably consistent over the last three seasons and he will likely surpass his 2023 innings total today. He last pitched against Cleveland on June 27, surrendering just one run in 5.1 innings.

Tanner Bibee draws the start for Cleveland. Bibee has been the lone bright spot in Cleveland’s rotation, following up a stellar rookie campaign with a rock solid 2024 season. He allowed two runs over six innings in his last outing against Kansas City, which came on June 29.

First pitch: 12:10 pm CDT
