Mariners Game #83, 6/26/24: SEA @ TB

0 5
MLB: Seattle Mariners at Tampa Bay Rays
Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Our time in Florida is drawing to a close

This isn’t your average, everyday breakfast baseball. This is... advanced breakfast baseball.

Lineups:

Seattle’s original lineup had Luke Raley batting fifth and playing left field, but he was scratched for as of yet unknown reasons. In his stead, Dylan Moore will head to left, and Ryan Bliss will man the keystone this morning, while Mitch Garver continues his trend of catching George Kirby.

As for the Rays, former Mariners first-round pick Alex Jackson gets the start behind the plate, but other than that, they’re running a similar lineup to what we’ve seen the last couple days. Ryan Pepiot, the other piece who came to Tampa in the Tyler Glasnow trade, will get the start, and he’s been a bit rocky his last few times out. After last night’s beatdown, it sure would be nice to continue that trend for him.

Game Info:

Today’s first pitch is at the ungodly hour of 9:10am PDT. I love me some breakfast baseball, but this early feels a bit decadent. Dave Sims and Mike Blowers have the call on ROOT Sports NW, while Rick Rizzs and Aaron Goldsmith will broadcast the action on 710 AM Seattle Sports.
