• I’m choosing to believe that Logan made a big show out of hitting the pose like everyone else did and it just happened off camera, instead of what it looks like, which is him just standing there like a statue.

• Tyler Locklear makes his Baseball America Top 100 debut at #98, so he decided to celebrate with a bomb!

• Sam Haggerty collided with the center field wall hard in last night’s Tacoma Rainiers game and had to be helped off the field.

• Pete Alonso is fast approaching free agency, and the Mets seem quite intent on keeping him in town. According to Joel Sherman, the Mets offered Alonso a seven-year, $158 million contract in June of 2023. Since then, Pete Alonso has made a pretty significant change in representation, hiring Scott Boras as his agent, and with Scott notably representing Juan Soto, Boras is lined up to be a main character in New York this winter.
• It was pointed out in the comments of this tweet that Adley Rutschman also accomplished this feat in addition to James Outman, but being the third to go oppo over Walltimore is still an accomplishment worth celebrating, though it definitely helps when you get 98 low and away, and you’re the Major League leader in homeruns.

• If Jeff is tweeting about you, you’ve either done something really good or really bad, and Shōta Imanaga has been really really good.

• The Angels can’t do anything right.

• The Giants have had a unique ambience in their stadium since they moved into Oracle Park in 2000, but since 2021, fans and players in San Francisco have been treated to a carefully cultivated auditory experience thanks to one woman, Ieanna Cruz, aka DJ Umami.
