Good morning, Mets fans!

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Mets fear reliever Brooks Raley is at risk of missing the rest of the season. Despite hopes for a quick recovery from left elbow inflammation, further tests revealed uncertainties about his condition. Before the club’s win against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday afternoon, it was revealed that Raley, sidelined since April 21, wasn’t progressing as swiftly as anticipated. Consequently, he won’t be returning in the coming days as the parties decide on the next steps to take.

Now onto the morning briefing!
