The New York Mets announced on Monday that they’ve signed infielder Rylan Bannon to a minor league deal with an invitation to major league camp.

Bannon, 27, .241/.360/.449 with 18 home runs and 12 stolen bases in Triple-A for the Houston Astros this year. Bannon went 0-for-6 in the majors for the Astros. The former Dodgers draft pick made his major league debut in 2022 with the Orioles and singled off Steven Matz in his first at-bat.

Bannon has 104 doubles, 13 triples, and 90 home runs in 575 career minor league games.

The 2017 eighth round pick was part of the five-player package the Dodgers sent to the Orioles in July of 2018 for Manny Machado.

Bannon played third base a majority (355 games) of his time in the minors, though he also has significant experience at second base (159 games) and some at shortstop (10 games).
