SMALL BALL COMES TO THE A'S?
- A's improved Small Ball Game with Esteury Ruiz could add a new dynamic and a few extra wins this year.
PITCH DECEPTION
- Pitch deception is the pitcher's best friend for keeping batters off balance.
- There will be many batters facing the repertoires of A's young starters & Relievers for the first time. The lack of previous at bats won't hurt the A's results.
MLB STACKED DEFENSE BAN
- An advantage can be gained with above average gloves and arms throughout the A's defensive alignments.
- A disadvantage to teams still in the habit of "hiding bats, ...weak defenders" on the field and stacking their defense to cover.
OPPONENTS
- This year A's games outside the AL West Division will increase, in-division matchups will decrease.
- This implies many first-time confrontations of the two rosters, with low score results.
- Scouting on veteran MLB players exists and better prepared teams will benefit, hopefully this includes the A's.
AAA PITCH CLOCK
Current prospects may be quicker & more comfortable when the change catches up to the MLB level. Batters & Pitchers.

POTENTIAL PRE-DEADLINE TRADES
A's won't let veterans block ready-to-play prospects, the trick is timing with prospects getting 2-3 AAA visits before sticking in MLB.
