[Men's Bowling] SXU Men's Bowling Places 11th at Leatherneck Classic

Davenport, Iowa – Senior Alex Acosta (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) was the top individual finisher for the Saint Xavier University men's bowling team at the Leatherneck Classic at Big River Bowl in Davenport, Iowa this past weekend with a 35th place ranking, knocking down 1,263 pins and averaging 210.5 pins in six games. He surpassed 200 or more pins in three games with a high of 237 in game six. The Cougars had an overall finish of 11 out of 45 teams with 9,197 pins but missed qualifying for the Baker Games Tournament by 200 pins. SXU was in 12th place on Saturday after the individual portion and moved up one spot after 16 Baker Games on Sunday.
