[Men's Tennis] Hawks Open GSAC Play With Win at HIU

FULLERTON, Calif. – The #16 San Diego Christian College Hawks men's tennis team took down the Hope International University Royals Thursday with a 4-1 victory in the GSAC opener.

In doubles, Chris Papa and Nick Nienhaus continued their dominant form, cruising past their Royals counterparts 6-2. HIU faired better in the two other doubles matches to claim their single team point of the match, however.

The singles competition would be a clean sweep for San Diego Christian. Papa dominated the #1 from Hope, never ceding a game, 6-0, 6-0. Neinhaus beat his opponent, 6-4, 6-3  in the two slot. Newcomer, Luis Hochenauer nearly faired as well as Papa with a 6-0, 6-1 dismantling of his adversary and Robin Van den Hoek sealed the team win with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
