[Softball] Reese & Schultz Power No. 19 Softball to Pair of Wins on Opening Day

Brighton, Mich. – Sophomore designated player Alexus Reese (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) went 3-for-4 with five RBI's., two walks and a run scored and senior catcher Brittany Schultz (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) finished 3-for-6 with four RBI's, two runs, a double, a walk and a home run to help lead No. 19 Saint Xavier University softball (2-0, 0-0 CCAC) to a pair of wins over Oakland City University (Ind.), 10-0 in five innings, and Lawrence Tech University (Mich.), 6-5 in six innings, on Opening Day. The second game was called due to time restrictions in the top of the 7th with Saint Xavier leading 10-5, however since the game ended in the middle of the inning the game reverts back to the last completed inning.
