2021-2022 MLB Free Agent Signing Predictions
The offseason is nearly upon us, and thus comes free agency. This free agency period is sure to be one of the more interesting ones in a long time, as a likely work stoppage means that most free agents will wait until after a new CBA is agreed upon to sign. A new CBA could bring the DH to the National League, brining even more uncertainty to this year's market. Additionally, with the Winter Meetings likely to be canceled, this gives a perfect storm for a lot of February signings right before Spring Training.
Regardless of when these players sign though, there are certainly to be a lot of large contracts handed out for star players, and a lot of faces in new uniforms come next season. Below is a list of many of the major free agents for this offseason, and where I think they will land. This is not an exhaustive list, just a list of many of the notable free agents. Feel free to copy the blank list below my predictions and make predictions of your own! I'm operating under the assumption that the NL will use a DH starting next season. (The list is organized by position, then alphabetically.)
