The Astros didn’t have a hit until the eighth inning in the Braves’. 2-0 Game 3 win on Friday. With the victory, Atlanta took a 2-1 series lead after initially falling behind 1-0.
Former Met Travis d’Arnaud provided a key piece of insurance, hitting a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth. Ian Anderson pitched five hitless innings for the Braves, while A.J. Minter, Luke Jackson, Tyler Matzek and Will Smith each pitched a scoreless inning in relief
Luis Garcia only allowed one run for the Astros, but he lasted just 3 2/3 innings while walking four.
The Braves will look to keep their momentum alive, while the Astros will try to rebound and tie the series back up.
