[Men's Golf] Schubring Finishes 7th at NW Iowa National Invite
Doane Men's Golf competed in the Northwest Iowa National Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Le Mars, Iowa, at Willow Creek GC. The Tigers posted a three-round score of 899 (306-293-300) and placed 12th overall.
Conor Schubring (SR/St. Louis Park, Minn.) led the way for the Tigers, tying for seventh with a 213 (75-68-70). He led all players in the tournament in Par 4 scoring, playing at five-under par, and was second in birdies with 14. Schubring recorded his fifth Top 10 finish in five events this season. Micah Ramirez (SR/Loveland, Colo.) tied for 29th with a 223 (73-75-75). He led all players in the tournament with 41 pars.
Ryan Weiss (SO/Franklin, Neb.) tied for 60th with a 231 (81-72-78). Noah Miller (FR/Papillion, Neb.) tied for 71st with a 236 (77-78-81). Andrew Paquette (JR/Beatrice, Neb.) tied for 74th with a 240 (84-79-77). Blake Andersen (JR/Grand Junction, Colo.) played under individual status and tied for 66th with a 233 (81-77-75).
Bellevue won the tournament with an 853. Sam Storey of Morningside won the individual medalist honor with a 206.
Next up for the Tigers will be the GPAC Championships on September 27-28.
