[Baseball] Kline named to MSC Champions of Character Team

0 28

Shawnee State junior Jacob Kline, following a fantastic season on the diamond and in the classroom, has been named to the Mid-South Conference Champions of Character Team.

Kline, who holds a 3.92 GPA as an accounting major, is tied for the highest grade point average on the SSU baseball roster. He hit home runs No. 18, 19 and 20 for the 2021 season, breaking a 21-year mark set by Brian Harrison, Brad Beale and Brandon Doss last weekend in the process, and finished fourth all-time in a single-season in runs batted in (66), only behind Harrison (1999 and 2000) and current SSU head coach Phil Butler (2011). Kline also sits in a fifth-place tie with Harrison in single-season total bases (136) and sits eighth in single-season slugging percentage (.751).
