Derrick White Out For Rest of Season

0 22

Paul Garcia reports Derrick White will miss the rest of the season due to an ankle injury.

White last played in the Spurs 146-143 win against the Washington Wizards on Apr. 26, playing 19 minutes, scoring nine points, three rebounds and two assists. In an injury-plagued season, missing time due to a toe injury, White played 36 games, averaging 30 minutes, 15 points, three rebounds and four assists per game.

Expect Devin Vassell to slot into the starting lineup with White sitting out of Wednesday’s matchup with the Miami Heat. Vassell, priced at $3,500 on FanDuel, has played 50 games in his rookie season, mostly off the bench. He has averaged 16 minutes, five points, three rebounds and one assist per game. Vassell has made one start this season, playing 24 minutes, scoring six points and six rebounds in a 114-91 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Feb. 9.

The Spurs are a 5-point road underdog against the Miami Heat on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 213 total.
