[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer Headed to Nationals; Faces Columbia in Opening Round
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – [] - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the teams and pairings for the 2020-21 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round. The 40-team NAIA Opening Round event at 10 campus locations will occur from April 22-24.
The 2020-21 NAIA Opening Round winners will meet up in Columbia County, Ga. at the NAIA National Championship final site event. The 62nd annual championship takes place at the Blanchard Woods Park May 4-10, 2021.
The Sterling College Warriors (11-4-1) are headed to the NAIA National Championship for the first time in program history, as the Warriors will head to the Opening Round for the Columbia Bracket at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. Sterling earned an automatic bid to Nationals after finishing as the KCAC regular season runnerup this season and earning the No. 2 seed in the KCAC Tournament.
Sterling earned a No. 4 seed in the in the NAIA field, as the Warriors will take on No. 1 Columbia College on Thursday, April 22nd at 2:00 PM in Columbia.

Also representing the KCAC in the NAIA National Championship is Oklahoma Wesleyan University as the No. 1 seed in the Bartlesville Bracket in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and McPherson College as the No. 4 seed in the Olathe Bracket in Olathe, Kansas.
