Lonzo Ball Returning Sunday, Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram Remain Out
Jim Eichenhofer tweeted that Lonzo Ball is returning to action Sunday against the Houston Rockets, although Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram remain out. Ball has missed the last seven games with a hip injury.
Zo’s return will force Nickeil Alexander-Walker back to the bench. Alexander-Walker made the most of his opportunity averaging 18.9 points and 33.0 FanDuel Fantasy Points while in the starting lineup. Ball was trending upwards before going down with the injury. Zo managed north of 35 FanDuel Fantasy Points in three straight games before the hip injury kept him out of the lineup. Zo’s fantasy ceiling may be impacted by returning from an injury, and Alexander-Walker may see increased minutes while Zo works his way back into game shape. Ball has a $6,600 salary on FanDuel, and Alexander-Walker’s salary is $6,500.
James Johnson should again start in place of Williamson, and Naji Marshall should replace Ingram for the second straight game.
The New Orleans Pelicans have lost two in a row but are -3 against the Rockets on Sunday.
