John Wall Ruled Out Wednesday
Cayleigh Griffin reports John Wall will sit out of Wednesday’s game between the Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets due to a lingering knee injury.
Wall last played in Monday’s 120-110 loss to the Memphis Grizzles, playing 33 minutes, scoring nine points, three rebounds and eight assists. In his first season with the Rockets, he has started 32 games, averaging 32 minutes, 20 points, three rebounds and seven assists.
Kevin Porter Jr. will start in place of Wall and should see the largest impact on production. In 127 minutes this season, Porter Jr. has a 29% usage rate and averages 1.10 fantasy points per minute. Priced at $5,500 on FanDuel, Porter has played nine games for the Rockets, averaging 30 minutes, scoring 15 points, three rebounds and six assists per game.
The Rockets are a 12.5-point road underdog against the Nets on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 229 total. The Nets lead the league in scoring, averaging 119.1 points per game and play at a 99.7 possession per game pace.
