Robert Williams Ruled Out Wednesday

0 23

The Athletic’s Jay King reports Robert Williams was a late scratch and will miss Wednesday’s matchup between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks due to an illness.

With Tristan Thompson and Daniel Theis’s absence in the Celtics’ rotation, Williams has recently found himself in a starting role at center. Starting three games since the NBA trade deadline, he has averaged 28 minutes, scoring eight points, 11 rebounds and four assists per game.

Moe Wagner will start at center in place of Williams on Wednesday. Recently acquired from the Washington Wizards, Wagner, who is priced at $3,800 on FanDuel, has averaged 14 minutes, six points, three rebounds and one assist per game.

Jalen Brown will return to the lineup after sitting due to a hip injury. A primary playmaker for the Celtics, alongside Jayson Tatum, the duo accounts for more than 60% of the team’s usage.

The Celtics are a 1-point home favorite against the Dallas Mavericks on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 224.5 total.
