Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Ruled Out for Saturday’s Game vs. Knicks
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will not suit up for the Oklahoma City Thunder when they take on the New York Knicks on Saturday. The injury for Gilgeous-Alexander is listed as a quad contusion on the report, but it looks like this could be more of a rest day for the Thunder’s rising star. Saturday’s game against the Knicks will be the first of a back-to-back before Oklahoma City takes on the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday afternoon. The 2018 Charlotte Hornets first-round draft pick is enjoying an absolute breakout season for the Thunder. Gilgeous-Alexander is putting up a career-best 23.5 points per game to go along with professional highs in assists with 6.2 a night and field goal rate shooting 51 percent, which is very impressive while hitting 2.0 three-pointers a night.
Darius Bazley (shoulder) and Hamidou Diallo (groin) will be joining Gilgeous-Alexander in street clothes tomorrow night so expect Theo Maledon to get a considerable boost in usage against New York. Maledon is available in almost 90 percent of fantasy leagues and should be a popular play at FanDuel DFS. Kenrich Williams, Aleksej Pokusevski, and Al Horford should see their offensive numbers get a jump while OKC will have to look somewhere to replace SGA’s near 25 points a game.
