[Men's Soccer] SSU men fall to Lindsey Wilson, 3-2, on 96th minute goal
Enjoying their own best start to a season in program history, the Shawnee State men's soccer program proved itself as a serious Mid-South Conference contender in a conference battle that extended beyond 90 minutes of regulation.
Bobo Kikonda's goal in the 24th minute of action in the opening half, along with Kevin de Lange's equalizing penalty kick goal with a minute-and-a-half left of play, tied the Mid-South Conference affair up a 2-2 count and sent the Bears and Blue Raiders into overtime. However, on a free kick following a foul, Vitor De Lima's pass found Tajay Reid in front, forcing SSU to take a 3-2 setback Sunday evening at Shawnee Turf in Portsmouth.
