Raptors’ Kyle Lowry is Probable Tonight Against the Heat
Raptors beat reporter Josh Lewenberg reports that Kyle Lowry is probable tonight against the Miami Heat. Lowry missed the team’s last four games, but the Raptors did win three of the four games in his absence, with two of those wins coming against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Over the last two years, both the Raptors and Heat have taken their turn in representing the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. However, this year, neither team has played anywhere near their standards over the last two seasons. Toronto is currently the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Heat are ranked tenth.
Since Lowry is listed as probable, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll play a major role in this matchup. The Raptors are more likely to work him back in especially considering the production they’ve been getting from Fred Vanvleet, who has been averaging 16 points and seven assists since Lowry has been out. Vanvleet is just as proficient as Lowry when asked to run the Raptors offenses, if not more.
FanDuel Sportsbook is offering Lowry’s assist prop at 6.5 with some juice to the under at -134. This is one prop that might fly under the radar, but it fits the bill as a quality contrarian play.
