Field Events – Connor Floyd, Doane University
Connor Floyd from Doane University is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Floyd, a freshman from Sutherland, Nebraska, won the pole vault at the Concordia Polar Dog Invite and moved into second place on the NAIA charts, sitting behind first place Bryce Carmack (Marian) by 0.01m (0.25 inches). The mark was a personal best for Floyd.
Track Events – Zach Turner, Doane University
Zach Turner of Doane University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Turner, a freshman from Crete, Nebraska, posted a meet record while topping last week's NAIA National Runner of the Week to win the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.10 seconds, 4th-fastest in school history. His time is 3rd-fastest in the NAIA this season. He also ran a leg of Doane's winning 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:27.65 (3:24.39 track conversion), which ran a season-best time to move into 10th nationally.
