[Indoor Track and Field] Donley, Henderson Key Track & Field Falcons' Efforts at Mel ...

Maryville, Mo. – Aubry Donley (SO/Lincoln, Kan. ) and Elaina Henderson (SR/San Antonio, Texas) each won individual events for the Friends University Falcons this past weekend at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo.

Donley's efforts landed her the KCAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after coming out on top in the 800 meter run with a school-record mark of 2:15.07. Her time is currently first in the KCAC and second in the NAIA.

She bested 17 other runners in the win, with the overall field including competitors from NCAA Division II, NAIA and the JUCO ranks.

Aileen Gurrola (SR/Garden City, Kan.) also came in third for the Falcons in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.74.

In the Triple Jump, it was Henderson putting together a winning jump of 10.77 meters.

On the men's side, Logan Horning (JR/Ormond Beach, Fla. ) recorded a runner-up finish in the 5000 meter run (15:01.36) for the Falcons.

Under head coach Henry Brun, the Falcons are next set to host the Friends University Mid-Season NAIA Invitational at Wichita State University from Jan. 22-24.
