NLCS Game 7 - Braves at Dodgers: Open Game Thread
Finally, for once, the winner gets to take all.
A small gift has been provided for us in this bizarro 2020 playoffs season, at the end of a peculiar MLB year to say the least. Two Game Sevens have been granted unto us in the championship series slate. Last night’s Rays vs. Astros matchup gave Tampa the chance to dodge the more embarrassing annals of history, putting Tampa lined up excellently with a well-rested Tyler Glasnow for game one of the World Series to take on the winner of today’s winner take all. The Dodgers came into this game/series/playoffs/season as the presumptive favorite for the World Series title, but as usual, their route has gotten convoluted in October. They’ve battled back from the brink against a young, ultra-talented Braves team that has a rotation of rookies and a core led by a couple players young enough to be rookies.
Tonight’s only game is a 2020 classic, with L.A. starting RHP Dustin May against Atlanta’s rookie righty Ian Anderson, but it’s likely both teams go to their bullpen frequently. The game this evening begins at 5:15 PM PST and is on FOX/FS1.
