[Cheerleading] Tigers have strong showing at MSC Championship
Georgetown College cheerleading competed for the fourth time this season and took third in the 2020 Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championships.
The Tigers scored their second best tally of the year with an 81.63 to be narrowly behind University of the Cumberlands and University of Pikeville. UPike took the title with an 85.03, while the Patriots were second with an 83.97.
GC, UC and Life University, the only three competitive squads in the MSC, will compete 6 pm Feb. 28 in Georgetown for the NAIA Region Cheer competition. Each team must have four regular season competitions, in which the MSC scores count, and have a high enough average to advance to the national finals.
