[Cheerleading] Cheer wins twice in a tri-match
Georgetown College cheerleading opened competition season with a tri-match Saturday afternoon. Life University, University of the Cumberlands and Georgetown took to Davis-Reid Alumni Gym on a cold winter's day.
The Tigers were narrowly edged by the Patriots in meet two, but defeated the Runnin' Eagles twice with a high score of 83.43 in their third competition of the afternoon.
This sets the stage for next weekend's Mid-South Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky. The three teams will be joined by other league squads not yet participating with the NAIA competition teams to determine top squad from the MSC. This will be the Tigers fourth score of the year, making the eligible for national competition.
