The indoor track and field program at Shawnee State got top-10 showings from Chris Parsons and Mckenna Pannell in the 3,000-meter run while Dalton Kerscheiter and Jessica Cook added in showings in the midfield of the one-mile and the 400 meter dash, respectively, to lead Shawnee State at the Indiana Wesleyan Midwest Indoor Classic on Saturday.

Parsons, who posted a time of 8:59.45 to finish eighth of 37 competitors in the 3,000, came within 15 seconds of a NAIA National 'B' Standard time in the event, while Pannell, who posted an eighth-place finish of 15 female competitors in the women's 3,000, ran a 11:30.90.

Kerschieter, who finished 15th of 27 competitors in the mile, obtained a time of 4:48.34 while adding in a 2:51.01 to place in 16th in the 1,000-meter run. Cook, who missed a NAIA National 'B' Standard time in the 400 meter dash by just six-and-a-half seconds, posted a 1:06.15 to finish 15th of 27 competitors in the event.
