Reportedly he has a tight side, meanwhile I feel a tightness in my chest

Corey Kluber exited today’s rehab start with the Columbus Clippers after one scoreless inning of work. According to a contributor for Sox Machine, Kluber didn’t seem thrilled heading into the dugout and was replaced with Jared Robinson in the second inning.

There’s no official word on the injury yet, but Andre Knott has reported that it’s tightness in his side and nothing to do with his arm.

Of course, we have no idea if that tightness is from overcompensating because something is hurting in his arm, or maybe it’s just a regular old muscle spasm. Personally, I won’t stop being concerned about Kluber until he’s starting a playoff game. Until then, consider me clenched.

Kluber didn’t allow a hit in the inning, but he didn’t have any strikeouts and walked two batters. This was the former Cy Young winner’s third rehab start as he works back from a forearm fracture suffered on May 1.
