With the score tied up at six, Clint Frazier led off the top of the ninth inning against Vidal Nuno. The 1-1 pitch was a slider that traveled over the width of the plate, in toward Frazier’s body, and ended up thigh high on the inner third.

Hammel gave up eight runs in a game-deciding second inning. The Royals lost 11-3.
On the bright side, they set an MLB record for homering on the road.
On the receiving end of a slugfest, the A’s drop game four of the series and manage only a split versus the White Sox. The game started off well.
