Southern New England Lajoie-Start Chapter meeting (Pawtucket, RI)

Mark your calendars: The June meeting of the Lajoie-Start (Southern New England) SABR chapter will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This will be our next to last meeting at McCoy before the Pawtucket Red Sox become the Worcester Red Sox in 2021.

All baseball fans are welcome to attend. Please RSVP in advance to Len Levin (lenlevin5@hotmail.com) if you are planning to come.

We'll meet from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. under the tent beyond right field in McCoy Stadium. They will start to prepare a barbecue as soon as our meeting ends.

If you want to give a presentation on any aspect of baseball, it's never too early to let Len know. When the Pawsox field staff comes to visit us, they will include a new manager, Billy McMillon. Kevin Boles, whom we have always admired for his candid answers to our questions, is no longer with the Red Sox.

For newcomers: Our tent is in deep right field. To get to it, enter the ballpark grounds and follow the chain-link fence to the right-field corner. Do not park against the fence. There should be plenty of other parking space.
