[Women's Bowling] RedHawks Finish Runner-Up at MSC Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Top-seeded Pikeville (Ky.) won its third Mid-South Conference Women's Bowling Championship on Sunday afternoon at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green.
The Bears went a perfect 4-0 in the tournament to win the title. The tournament championship is the first for Pikeville since the 2015-16 season.
To start day three, Pikeville advanced to the championship match with a sweep over third-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.).
In the elimination bracket Martin Methodist (Tenn.) knocked out Cumberlands (Ky.) in five games. The RedHawks then handed Campbellsville its second straight loss to advance to the championship. Martin Methodist prevailed in seven games over the Lady Tigers
In the finals, Pikeville was able to defeat the RedHawks, 4-2. The Bears recorded a tournament-high score of 277 during game three. In that game, Pikeville was able to tally nine strikes in a row.
The Bears earn the conference's automatic bid into the NAIA National Championships being held in Topeka, Kansas during the end of March.
