[Women's Basketball] ONU upsets No. 13 USF to advance to the CCAC Tourney title game

JOLIET, Ill. - With a spot in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament Championship on the line, the Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball team traveled up the road to take on No. 13 University of St. Francis (Ill.) on Friday, Feb. 22. ONU came out with a fire in their bellies, scoring early and often. The Tigers put on a shooting clinic in the first half, knocking down an astounding 14-of-24 field goal attempts, 15-of-16 free throws, and 11-of-14 three-pointers. The two teams hit the locker rooms at the half with the Tigers up 54-32. ONU held on to their early lead despite a late push by the Fighting Saints, coming away with a 78-61 victory and a shot at the title.
