[Indoor Track and Field] Plummer Earns Conference Field Athlete of the Meet

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a successful weekend of competition at the 2019 Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Champions, the conference award winners have been named including Grand View's James Plummer.

Plummer of Grand View, a five-time Heart of America Field Athlete of the Week award winner, was named as the Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet. Plummer had an excellent day on the weight throw and shot put, scoring 20 points and throwing two NAIA "A" standard marks while earning two first-place finishes with a 17.17-meter mark in the shot put and a 21.96-meter mark in weight throw. He broke the Grand View school record on Saturday for both events, finishing 5m better than second place in the weight throw and 2m ahead of second place in shot put.
