COLUMBIA, S.C. – Columbia International University was leading the Bryan College men's basketball team 36-35 at halftime on their home court during Saturday's Appalachian Athletic Conference meeting, but the Lions fought their way back just before the midway point of the second period to gain control of a lead that wouldn't be surrendered for the duration of the contest. Four Bryan players helped spur the second half effort with double-digit scoring, led by EJ Bush (SO/Oak Ridge, Tenn.) who connected on 7-for-10, including 3-for-4 behind the arc, for 18 points. Isaiah McClain (SO/Harriman, Tenn.)'s effort could be seen in almost every aspect of play as he tallied 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting with four rebounds and team-highs on four assists and four steals. Justin Warner (SO/Rutledge, Tenn.) broke free for 15 points, knocking down 5-of-7 attempts while snagging six rebounds. Brandon Thomas (FR/Murfreesboro, Tenn.) had a presence in the post, completing 7-of-12 for 14 points and matching Bush for the team-high in boards with seven. Other Lions to get in on the action included Geevantay Gee (JR/Oak Ridge, Tenn.) with seven points and three assists, Keaton Dotson (JR/Gallatin, Tenn.) with five points, and the duo of Austin Douglas (JR/Ashland City, Tenn.) and Noah Mulaski (FR/Lebanon, Tenn.) with three points apiece. Douglas aided on the boards with six rebounds.
