COLUMBIA, Ky. - The 10-seeded Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team squares off against seventh-seeded Georgia Gwinnett in the second round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship on Tuesday, November 27, in Orange Beach, Alabama.
The Blue Raiders (12-3-2) return to action after a 2-0 victory in the opening round against Aquinas (Mich.). Yvonne Ploeg and Emma Lindell each netted a goal to push LWC past the Saints.
Emelie Liljered leads the Blue Raiders with 10 goals and four assists, with Sina Cavelti chipping in with eight goals and nine assists. The LWC defense is led by Jovana Ivanovic, who has 50 saves and seven shutouts. The Blue Raiders have posted three shutouts while only allowing for two goals this postseason.
