[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer hosts Mid-America Christian in NAIA Opening Round Saturday

Miguel Prieto (SR/Mammoth Lakes, Calif.) remembers what life was like a year ago as a member of the Kansas Wesleyan men's soccer team.

The Coyotes trudged their way through a 10-10 season, 7-4 in the Kansas Conference, under first-year coach Diego Cocon while lacking the requisite cohesion needed to be successful.

One year later, Prieto looks back on 2017 and smiles.

"Last year we struggled and to see all the hard work the boys are putting in this year is paying off and it feels great," said Prieto, a senior midfielder and team captain.

That hard work has manifest itself in a 17-4 record, 15 consecutive victories, KCAC regular season and postseason tournament titles and a match Saturday night against Mid-America Christian (Okla.) in the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round.
